One child sits next to a piece of small pottery atop the lap of a seated woman in this lovely, traditional storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Joyce Lucero. The woman sits with both legs bent in one direction, the pottery and child atop her lap, with one of the child’s hands atop the pottery. The pot is painted in traditional weather patterns in black stop a buff base, while the child is painted colorfully in blue, brown and black. The woman also features blue accents along her neck and wrist, her head tilted upward and mouth open, a shawl covering her head. 3 3/4″ tall x 3″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
