Known for her beautifully handmade storyteller figurines, Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua created this piece in the same style, featuring a seated woman and two babies. The woman sits with her legs outstretched, a skirt surrounding her legs painted in black, traditional patterns atop a buff backdrop, while she holds two babies, one in each arm. The babies are swaddled in red and grey blankets, their mouths open just as the woman’s, all of their eyes wide and expressive. The woman is finished with two buns atop her head and rosy cheeks, while her shirt features painted flower patterns. 3 3/4″ tall x 3″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
