Description
Created by hand by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua, this beautiful, traditional storyteller features a seated woman and three children. The woman, who sits with her legs outstretched in front of her, has a shawl draped over her shoulders painted in various geometric designs in buff, red, black, and brown. Her hair is pulled up into two buns, her cheeks rosy, and mouth open. One child hangs over one of her shoulders and underneath the shawl, while another rests in her cupped hands, holding a drum. the third child sits in her lap, holding a basket painted in black and red. 6″ tall x 2 3/4″ wide x 4 3/8″ deep.
