Three children rest along the lap and one shoulder of a seated woman in this lovely storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua. The woman rests with legs outstretched, her mouth open and cheeks rosy. A little boy sits on one leg, while a girl rests on her stomach on the opposite leg, both also showcasing open mouths and the boy with a blanket slung over his shoulder. The third child, a girl, rests on one of the woman’s shoulders and beneath the shawl wrapped around her, her mouth open and a flower in her hair. The woman is finished with buns in her hair and her shawl painted in geometric and traditional patterns in black, red and grey, as well as a piece of pottery painted in buff, black and grey held in both hands. 6 3/4″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
