Created by well-known Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin, this adorable, delicate storyteller figurine showcases a seated woman with two children in her lap, one girl and one boy. The woman features an open mouth and rosy cheeks, here eyes wide with long eyelashes and a shawl covering her head painted in red, black, and brown. A turquoise painted necklace adorns her neck, while just below, a boy sits, playing a drum, while a girl sits to his side, one hand on the drum and oen on the boy’s arm. A beautiful black, turquoise, and white painted skirt extends outward below the children, while the woman’s feet extend in front of her, painted in brown and white moccasins. 3 1/4″ tall x 2 3/4″ wide x 3 1/2″ deep.
