Handmade by Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin, this adorable bear storyteller showcases a seated bear with three cubs, one of which is holding a fish, and a pot of honey. The larger bear sits with its legs outstretched, one cub atop one arm, another seated on one leg, and the third standing on the opposite leg. A pot of honey painted in traditional patterns in black and red rests in front of the standing cub, honey pouring out of the top and on both paws of the standing cub. The cub seated upon the bear’s leg holds a butterfly in its paws, while the third cub holds a fish. Each cub is brown, like the larger bear, and painted in black traditional patterns including weather designs and feathers. 6 3/8″ tall x 4 1/4″ wide x 5″ deep.
