Description
Thirteen small children and one dog, along with impossibly small lady bugs, accent this incredible, handmade wedding vase by Cochiti/San Felipe potter Dena Suina. The vase, showcasing an entirely black body, features hand painted, traditional designs in red and white, predominantly in step, fine line and starburst patterns. Two children rest on their stomachs atop the piece’s twisted handle, with two lady bugs between them, while eleven additional children either sit or lay on the vase at the base of each of its spouts and within its opening. Several of the children hold objects, including a football, books, several additional balls, and a block, while an adorable dog rests at the feet of one of the reading children. 6 3/4″ tall x 3″ wide x 2 3/4″ deep.
