Painted in what many call the “postage stamp” style, in which small, rectangular or square panels each feature a different design, this gorgeous canteen was created by potter Emma Naha. The piece features a beautifully polished, golden hued base, only the top of which is painted. Patterns are painted in black and red and include whirlwinds, hooves, a sun, several iterations of feathers, and clouds and rain. A handle protrudes from each side of the canteen while a neck spouts from the top, and the piece is created so that it can lie flat on its back side. 4 1/4″ long x 5″ wide x 2 3/4″ high.
