Well-known Jemez potter Juanita Fragua, still creating pottery at over 80 years of age, made this lovely, polychrome wedding vase by hand. The piece showcases a handmade structure with a twisted handle, giving it more dimension and interest, along with a hand painted surface in red, black, turquoise, and buff. The piece is painted with many geometric designs, including triangles, fine lines, steps, and circles, while Juanita also incorporated various traditional symbols, including an arrow, a corn stalk, and weather patterns. The piece is finished beautiful with step rim openings. 8 1/2″ tall x 5 1/4″ wide.
*Wedding vase is NOT finished/polished inside and cannot hold liquid, even for a short period of time.*
