Hopi potter Stetson Setalla, known for his beautiful forms and clean lines that marry traditional with contemporary, created this stunning, cylindrical vase in the same style. The piece showcases a lovely cylindrical shaped and scalloped rim, featuring the recognizable coloring of clay traditionally found along the Hopi mesas, which is predominantly red and orange hued. Stetson painted several traditional designs along the piece, all separated into panels of varying sizes. The rim showcases reoccurring whirlwind designs, while the body of the cylinder is painted with fine lines, dots, geometric patterns of varying degree, and additional whirlwind patterns. 5 3/4″ tall x 4 1/2″ wide.
