Showcasing a full storyteller on the front and face with cut out Pueblo scene on the back, this incredible, double sided figurine was created by Jemez potter Felicia Fragua. The front side of the piece features a seated woman holding one larger child in each arm, while those children hold smaller children for a total of four. A single pottery bowl rests on her crossed legs, painted red, black, and white, as is her clothing. The children and painted in red, grey and white, and the woman is finished with an open mouth, rosy cheeks, and expressive eyes. The back side of the figurine features a woman’s face that mimics that of the face on front, giving way to a cut out Pueblo scene painted brown. 6 5/8″ tall x 3 1/8″ wide x 4″ deep.
