A traditional piece by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua, this beautiful storyteller figurine features a seated woman with one child over her shoulder and another sitting in her lap. Both children, girls, showcase open mouths, mimicking the larger storyteller, while the seated girl holds a painted plate and the larger storyteller, a pueblo pot. Each is painted in black, brown, and red, the larger woman with a blanket draped over her shoulders, painted with traditional step patterns and brown bands. Each child showcases painted flowers atop her head, the child on the woman’s shoulder with braided hair. 5 1/4″ tall x 3″ wide x 4 1/4″ deep.
