Known for her beautiful and innovative storyteller figurines, Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua creates traditional pieces with lovely accents. This storyteller showcases a seated woman holding one child, with another sitting on her lap, playing a drum. Each of the figures mouths are open, with the woman’s cheeks rosy and all eyes wide and expressive. The woman is painted in traditional clothing in black, red, and buff, with a shawl draped over her head, the back of which showcases beautiful zig zag designs in grey, red, and black. 5 1/2″ tall x 2 3/4″ wide x 4 3/8″ deep.
