Description
Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin, known for her beautiful storyteller figurines, created this piece featuring a seated woman and three children. Two children rest upon the woman’s lap while one hangs over her shoulder holding a book. The two girls in the woman’s lap hold a blanket and basket, respectively, with all children smiling and the woman’s mouth open. A painted turquoise necklace hangs from her neck, and the woman and children are cocooned within a beautifully painted red and black shawl. 4 3/4″ tall x 2 3/4″ wide x 4″ deep.
