Created and painted by hand by Jemez potter Carol Lucero Gachupin, this gorgeous, traditional storyteller figurine showcases a seated woman with three children, two in her lap and one over her shoulder. The woman is painted beautifull in red, blck, white, and turquoise, and she sits with her skirt flowing around the bottom half of her body and shawl draped over her head. She showcases an open mouth and rosy cheeks, while each child smiles widely. The child over her shoulder holds a book, while those in her lap hold a basket and drum, and she is finished with crossed legs and traditional geometric and weather patterns painted along her clothing. 4 3/8″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 5 1/2″ wide.
