Taking inspiration from a photo of an old Laguna pot, artist Myron Sarracino created this gorgeous piece in an attempt to revive and mimic some of the Pueblo’s old-style pottery. The piece showcases multiple patterns in varying colors, the most predominant being four, four direction symbols encased in circles alternating orange and red. These circles represent the universe, surrounding the four directions, while cloud and rain patterns are featured above and below each circle. The rim of the piece is entirely black, while the base is entirely orange, while additional weather patterns separate each direction encased circle. 8 1/2″ tall x 7 1/2″ wide.
