Jemez potter Marcus Wall, son of Fannie Loretto and brother of Kathleen Wall, created this adorable bear figurine, which features a removable fish and honeycomb. Marcus, known for his whimsical figurines, tends to include elements and tell a story but can also be removed from the piece. The bear, painted brown with black eyes, mouth, nose, and paws, holds a green, red, buff, and black fish in its arms, while a buff honeycomb rests upon his legs. The piece is finished with a heishi (shell) necklace. 6″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 4″ deep.
