Description
Malachite, pink mussel shell, golden mother of pearl, jet, turquoise and coral combine in beautiful, traditional inlay with sterling silver to create this gorgeous Zuni butterfly pendant by silversmith Tamara Pinto. Turquoise makes up the butterfly’s body while jet stones are set atop each antenna, while malachite and golden mother of pearl comprise the upper wings and jet and pink mussel, the lower. The malachite portion of each upper wing is dotted with coral and the pink mussel portion of each lower wing with turquoise, while wavy sterling silver slivers separated the stones from one another. Stones are etched with fine lines to give the butterfly a more three-dimensional look. 1 5/8″ long including bail x 1 3/8″ wide.
