Turquoise, coral, jet, lapis, and white mother of pearl combine to create this stunning Zuni thunderbird by Delwin Gasper. The bird, whose head is set on a profile, showcases multiple stones inlaid in geometric patterns and separated by slivers of sterling silver. The head is inlaid solely with jet and white mother of pearl, while the beak features turquoise and the feather atop the head, turquoise and lapis. The thunderbird’s wings feature jet, turquoise, coral, lapis, and white mother of pearl, while the triangular body showcases only jet, lapis, and white mother of pearl. Large, tear drop shaped tail feathers are inlaid with turquoise, coral, and jet, and the perimeter of the bird showcases both appliqued sterling silver rope patterns and sterling silver dots. 2″ long x 1 1/2″ wide.
