Created with a gorgeous orange shell and two strands of turquoise nuggets, this traditional Santo Domingo piece by artist Torevia Crespin is both traditional and one-of-a-kind. The necklace showcases two strands of predominantly blue turquoise beads, many of which contain brown matrix, finished with white clam shell heishi at the top. The centerpiece of the necklace comprises an orange shell inlaid with turquoise, jet, and golden mother of pearl, the jet and golden mother of pearl forming a single row toward the bottom of the inlay work. Necklace is finished with sterling silver cones and a hook and eye closure. 19 1/8″ from end not including shell length. Shell measures 2 1/2″ long x 2 1/4″ wide. Total necklace length is 21 5/8″.
