Eighteen vibrant orange spiny oyster stones rest along stunning handmade sterling silver beads of a traditional squash blossom necklace, with two more set in the matching pair of earrings, in this gorgeous set by Navajo silversmith Thomas Francisco. Each side of the double strand, beaded necklace is set with five oval orange spiny stones in simple sterling silver bezels, each bordered by a brushed sterling silver rope pattern and appliqued sterling scallops along the top. Three pronged sterling silver squash blossoms extend outward from each stone, while the naja of the piece is set with an additional eight orange spiny pieces: seven along the curve of the naja and one hanging from the center. Each of these stones is also surrounded at the base by a brushed sterling rope pattern and appliqued with sterling scallop designs and dots. Necklace merges into a single strand about 3/4 of the way toward each end, where it is finished with a hook and eye closure. Matching earrings mimic the shape and silverwork of the stones along the necklace. Necklace measures 26 1/2″ from end to end, excluding naja length. Naja measures 2 1/4″ long x 2 5/8″ wide for a total length of 28 3/4. Earrings measure 1 1/4″ long including French hook x 5/8″ wide.
