Description
Created in his signature style, this gorgeous pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration comprises a round, beautiful light blue turquoise stone and sterling in the form of a Sunface. The sun is said to be a symbol of abundance, continuity, stability, positive energy, hope, happiness, and peace. The body of this Sunface is set with turquoise in a simple sterling silver bezel, which contains large portions of brown and grey matrix concentrated on one side. It is bordered at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling silver band stamped with fine lines and scallop designs and appliqued with two rows of sterling silver dots. Protruding from the top of the body is a large sterling silver sunface, featuring deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth It is finished with a circle of detailed sterling silver feathers surrounding the head. Hook bail is located at the back of the head. 2 1/8″ long x 1 1/8″ wide.
