Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration, known for his Kachina pieces, created these Mudhead kachina earrings out of both sterling silver and turquoise. The post of each earring features a sterling silver head, showcasing round, appliqued sterling silver mouth and eyes, as well as three sterling “buns” atop each head. Hanging from each mudhead is a triangular green turquoise piece containing small portions of brown matrix and set in a simple, handmade sterling silver bezel. Each stone is surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, and earrings are post. 1 5/8″ long x 3/4″ wide.
