Beautiful blue turquoise containing large portions of brown matrix running throughout and sterling silver combine in this beautiful, traditional Morning Singer pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The majority of the piece comprises sterling silver, while a large, unusually shaped turquoise piece is set in a simple sterling silver bezel to form the center of the body. The turquoise stone is surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling band stamped with fine lines, cut out along the edges, and featuring a single row of appliqued sterling silver dots on each side. A sterling silver Morning Singer’s head, complete with detailed sterling silver feathers surrounding the neck, protrudes from the top of the body of the piece, featuring cut out rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth jutting out from the face. The head is bordered by additional detailed sterling silver feathers on all sides, stamped with fine line designs. 2 5/8″ long x 1 1/4″ wide. Bolo measures 21 1/2″ from top to bottom. Sterling bolo tips are stamped with scallop designs at the top.
