Created in his signature style, this gorgeous pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration comprises a beautiful green turquoise stone and sterling in the form of a Sunface. The sun is said to be a symbol of abundance, continuity, stability, positive energy, hope, happiness, and peace. The body of this Sunface is set with an unusually shaped green turquoise stone in a simple sterling silver bezel and contains large portions of medium to dark brown matrix running throughout. It is bordered at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling silver band stamped with fine lines and scallop designs and appliqued with two rows of sterling silver dots. Attached to the top of the body with a sterling silver jump ring is a large sterling silver sunface, featuring deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth It is finished with a circle of detailed sterling silver feathers surrounding the head. Hook bail is located at the back of the head where it meets the body, at the center. 2 3/8″ long x 1 3/16″ wide.
