Coral and sterling silver combine in this unique, traditional mudhead pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The majority of the piece comprises sterling silver, while a small, diamond shaped red coral piece is set in a simple sterling silver bezel to form the center of the body. The coral piece is set in a simple sterling silver bezel and is surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a sterling band stamped with fine lines, cut out along the edges, and featuring two rows of appliqued sterling silver dots on each side. A sterling silver mudhead, complete a round, appliqued mouth and eyes, protrudes from the top of the body of the piece. The head is bordered by a sterling silver dot on each side, while the forehead of the piece has been left unadorned. 1 5/8″ long including x 3/4″ wide.
