Created in his signature style featuring appliqued petroglyph patterns, this detailed belt buckle was made by Navajo silversmith Alex Sanchez. The piece is made entirely of sterling silver and showcases a single, tear drop shaped turquoise stone set in a simple sterling silver bezel on the surface, which contains portions of black matrix running throughout. The remainder of the buckle features Alex’s recognizable petroglyph style designs, including whirlwinds, hands, a turtle, a bear, a dragonfly, crosses, and flattened dots. All patterns are appliqued atop a textured, oxidized surface, while the back of the piece is stamped with reoccurring bear patterns. 2 1/2″ long x 1 7/8″ wide. Fits belt size 1 1/4″.
