Turquoise and sterling silver combine in this beautiful, traditional maiden pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The majority of the piece comprises sterling silver, while a single, tear drop shaped turquoise stone containing portions of dark brown matrix and set in a simple sterling silver bezel makes up the center of the body. The remainder of the body features a sterling silver rope pattern surrounding the base of the stone. A sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and a round, appliqued mouth, protrudes from the top of the body of the piece. The head is bordered on each side by a sterling silver bun, stamped with fine lines representing hair. The forehead of the piece is also stamped with fine lines. 2 3/8″ long including bail x 1″ wide.
