Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration created this beautiful pendant in his signature style, using both turquoise and sterling silver to create a traditional maiden. The pendant showcases a large, light blue-green turquoise stone set in a simple sterling silver bezel and surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern. This is followed by a sterling band stamped and ct out with various designs, forming a pattern, and is finished with two rows of appliqued sterling dots at the top. The stone contains portions of golden and brown matrix running throughout. Protruding from the top of the stone is an intricate sterling silver maiden head, complete with deeply grooved rectangular eyes and stamped diagonal lines along the lower half of the face. The forehead is appliqued with four small yet detailed sterling silver feathers, while the head is surrounded by a sterling silver tableta cut out with step patterns along the edges and stamped with step patterns as well. 2 3/8″ long x 1 1/2″ wide. Hook bail is located at the top of the back of the piece.
