Known for his intricate sterling silver maiden pieces, Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration wows again with this stunning maiden featuring purple spiny oyster. The stone, set in a simple sterling silver bezel on one side of the sterling silver body, contains white striations and varies light to dark purple. The remainder of the maiden comprises solely sterling silver, triangular cutouts bordering the stone and creating a shadowbox effect. A sterling silver maiden’s head protrudes from the top of the body, featuring deeply grooved rectangular eyes and diagonal lines stamped along the remainder of the face. The head is surrounded by a large sterling silver tableta, stamped with step and scallop designs, the piece is finished with four detailed, delicate sterling silver feathers attached to the forehead. 2 7/8″ long x 1 1/4″ wide. Hook bail is located at the top of the back of the piece.
