This stunning, contemporary and unusually shaped jar by Virginia Salvador Baca of Mata Ortiz, Mexico, features a black backdrop painted precisely with various designs, also in black. While the top of the outside of the opening is left unpainted, the remainder of the piece’s surface, along both neck and body, is painted with reocurring geometric esigns including fine lines, and triangles, which are intermixed with floral and feather designs, as well as weather patterns. 4″ tall x 4 1/4″ wide.
