Husband and wife team Elizabeth and Marcellus Medina created this incredible jar featuring traditional designs from Zia Pueblo. Elizabeth makes, by hand, each of the pieces of pottery the couple produces, while Marcellus paints each piece by hand, most often with traditional designs. This jar showcases zia birds, two of which are painted in the center of the traditional Zia symbol, which is a direct representation of the sacred number four and the circle of life: four winds, four seasons, four directions, and four sacred obligations. The jar also showcases weather patterns, including clouds and rain, mountains, and prayer feather designs. 7 1/8″ tall x 6 3/8″ wide.
