AuthenticityEach artist crafts his or her piece in their own special style. Their designs are typically handed down from from previous generations. Most designs have special meaning for not only the person creating the art, but for the buyer as well. Since each piece is unique, mass production is virtually impossible. |

ProfilesMany years ago we were continually asked by our customers to write down what we knew about certain artists so that they could document items correctly. Tribal AffiliationPart of the artist profile form has the artist identify their Tribal affiliation. Each Tribe or Pueblo affiliation allows us to identify the region certain pieces originated from. It is very common for artwork from similar areas to have similar characteristics, helping us to categorize from what area it comes. This is important because many similar designs have different meanings depending on where it originated. |
